Hotel Bristol Palace
The comfortable and elegant rooms of the Bristol Palace are an ideal place for business travellers, but also an exclusive place to admire the artistic beauties of the city of Genoa, Italy, proclaimed in 2004 the European Capital of Culture.
The 133 rooms and the 5 suites are furnished for the most part in an Art Nouveau style, with fine and finely restored period furniture. All are totally soundproofed and equipped with free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, satellite TV and free channels. The Suites are characterized by high-class furnishings, including precious antique furniture. They all have a large living room with a completely independent entrance from the bedroom, to ensure maximum privacy. The Family rooms, on the other hand, are ideal for families, consisting of two large communicating rooms with independent access and two bathrooms (available, of course, also cots and beds for children). On the walls, even in the simple and refined Classic Rooms, there are padded silk boiserie. Some Deluxe rooms, Junior Suites and Suites are equipped with whirlpool. A luxury stay, even for four-legged friends, in fact, small and medium-sized pets are welcome at no additional cost.
The Bristol Palace Hotel, with its recent renovation, has maintained its elegance and exclusivity, merged with a modern concept of services, such as to make it sought after by those who want to sleep in Genoa among 4-star luxury hotels.
The restaurant, in an elegant and refined environment, offers both overnight guests and external customers a rich menu proposal for both lunch and dinner; thanks to the two bars it is also ideal for a quick apéritif; doubles the spaces with the beautiful outdoor terrace, dominated by two sail boat awnings, unique of its kind.
Particular attention is paid to children with a menu dedicated to them. Upon request, it is possible to serve gluten-free dishes. The incredible white marble elliptical staircase with an Art Nouveau railing rises to the top floor in a spiral that appears to be suspended in space.
Over the years, Bristol’s prestige has attracted numerous personalities from the international jet set. Writers, such as Edmondo de Amicis (who, having concluded his stay, wrote: “I left Bristol with the illusion of having been a great gentleman for five days”), Gabriele D’Annunzio and Luigi Pirandello; directors and actors, such as Alfred Hitchcock, Vittorio de Sica and Alberto Sordi; royalty and heads of state, such as the Emperor Hirohito, the Infanta of Spain and Carlo Azeglio Ciampi; politicians, such as Nobel laureate Yitzhak Rabin and Simon Peres ; personalities linked to the world of culture, such as the Nobel Rita Levi Montalcini, and dance legends such as Rudolf Nureyev and Carla Fracci.
