There is a free-standing bath inside the cabin for guests to use, all the water is used for irrigation around the cabin, so nothing is wasted. The kitchen has a fridge with a freezer & a gas hob to cook on. Unfortunately, there is no microwave or oven in the cabin. The deck has a built-in braai for a real South African experience. They use solar power, so you are urged to please use power wisely. They supply solar jars for extra lighting. If you have a battery pack, take it with and remember to charge all your electronics before you arrive. Reception is limited in the valley. Perfect to read a book or a magazine, play some board games or cards, or just spend some QT with your partner admiring the sunset. Also feel free to roam around on the farm as you please. Copia was an idea that started 3 years ago while scrolling around on a popular social website when they came across a picture of a used shipping container that someone had converted into an amazing living space. Geared with a couple of pictures from the internet and a vague idea of how they wanted the end product to look like, the project was started. Copia means 'abundance' in Latin, and they could not think of a more fitting name or word for the business as they would like their guests to experience beauty and tranquillity in abundance, as they stay in their beautiful and peaceful converted containers!

In winter there are toboggan rides, skiing (there are some ski-lifts and cross-country skiing courses at your disposal), and snowman building. Incidentally, the name of the Mummelsee goes back to the white-water lilies, which are popularly called "Mummeln". There are many activities offered, such as, Nordic walking and hiking sticks, rental backpacks including snacks and a drink for day tours, tour maps (for overnight guests) and tour advice for hikers, cyclists and motorcyclists, also, skiing and tobogganing during the winter months. THE MUMMELSEE LEGEND The Mummelsee in the dark fir grounds has its mysterious name from the lake maidens or Mümmlein. You live in its unfathomable depths in a magnificent crystal castle. It is surrounded by lush gardens where blood-red coral grows alongside fragrant water lilies. The little mummels are lovely, charming figures of delicate, slender growth and rosy beauty. Every night they rise to the surface of the dark waters, perform a lovely dance to the sound of the instruments, or hasten to the nearest houses in the valley with the spindle. In the past, the little mummels often came down into the valley to the farmers and woodcutters, helped in the house and yard or looked after the children when the women had work to do in the fields. They were there early in the morning. But as soon as it was night and the stars were out, they all had to be back in the crystal castle at the bottom of the lake. So, it was commanded them by their king. One of the beautiful lake maidens fell in love with a young farmer's son from Seebach. When the fair was again in the valley, the mermaids came down to the inn where the dance was. Mummlein, who was fond of the farmer's son, danced one dance after the other with his beloved. Far and wide there was no girl as beautiful as the little mummel, and no one could dance so gracefully and easily. When it started to get dark, all the damsels from the lake returned to their crystal castle. Only the one mermaid who had her lover in the village could not part with him. She only wanted to do one more dance. She thought it was just earlier night down there in the valley than up in the forest. But she danced another dance and another. And time passed, and she didn't know how. Suddenly, ten o'clock struck on the tower. Now the mermaid became aware of her carelessness. Her heart trembled. And she pulled her lover out of the room. She hurried up the mountain forest with him in silence. When they came to the lake, she said in a sad voice: "Now we will probably never see each other, because I will have to die. Wait a while longer on the shore. If blood rises from the depths, I have lost my life; if not, I will be with you again soon." She took a willow rod and struck the water three times with it. Then it parted, and a marble-white staircase appeared, leading down into the crystal castle. The water closed again behind the Mümmlein. It was dark night and not a wave stirred. Then a small dark red wave rose up from the depths of the lake.

I am a Zambian born, comes from a family of 8 and the youngest of the Mwila’s. My siblings always thought I was spoilt because I was the youngest, but I don’t think so! I was born in a town called Mufulira on the Copper belt side of Zambia in 1981,the Copper belt province is rich with mineral finds and Mines, hence the name. I am Married to Eric and we have a beautiful daughter called Chanda, she is 15 years. I completed my matric in 1999 and my mother advised me to study food production since I loved cooking, I did it for her though it was a course that I never dreamt of studying. I graduated successfully and worked for 2 years as a chef, got tired of cooking, I dodged that career and went into studying computers, worked as a receptionist and studied Human resources at the same time and obtained a diploma. I worked for a courier company as a Human Resources assistant. In 2012, I moved to South Africa, Cape Town when I got married, joined a Mobile Money company called Zoona with operations in Zambia, and I worked there for 5 years as a support agent. Zoona is an African Fintech company founded in 2009 with the vision of helping communities thrive. Since launching, it created over 2,500 jobs in Zambia and Malawi, empowered over 1,000 entrepreneurs to start their own business and allowed them to reach earnings of over $10 million. I enjoyed working for this company because we really helped girl child prevail. Apart from the above, I am a lover of interior designing, and my wish is to have one of the most successful Interior business one day, through my passion for interior, I designed my sister’s Kitchen area, how amazing!!! I love cooking and baking (especially Cake pops), they are my favorites!!! I love adventure, gardening and working out too, I am a gym freak. Most importantly, I love spending time with my loved ones. I reflect a varied personality, including ambition, and the qualities of generosity and thoughtfulness. I am also a well determined and vigorous individual, and yet calm. I encourage fighting for what you desire and believe in and doing it through God because nothing great comes easy.
